Basic Info for The Ultimate Journey:
The Ultimate Journey is an exclusive wine tour recommended for those who are extremely passionate about wine and the wine country . It is a leisurely paced tour visiting four select wineries, many of which only sell their wines exclusively from their wineries. At each one you will meet and talk with the wine makers and/or owners while maybe relaxing on private patios overlooking breathtaking views, inside beautiful tasting rooms or working wineries. Each winery is very different from one another and all offer something special just for you. Some of these unique experiences may include a personal tour of a winery/vineyard, private tastings (winery closed during your visit exclusively for you), and food pairings. Each Ultimate Journey is unique and may vary from tour to tour. Truly an unforgettable experience in the wine country, and you will leave feeling like you are part of the family.
Duration
This Journey will last approximately six hours, not including pick-up/drop-off times. We will arrive at the first winery at 11:00 AM and leave the last winery by approximately 5:00 PM.
What’s Included
All inclusive (except guide gratuity, which is optional and always appreciated). Door to door service, all tasting fees and all food pairing fees are included! We also provide plenty of chilled bottled water to help you stay hydrated between wineries.
Where We Go/Wineries Visited.
Sonoma County has thirteen wine regions or appellations, and is home to over 250 award winning wineries. With all of those to choose from, we have personally selected four very special wineries to make up The Ultimate Journey.
What to Expect
Your guide will accompany you the entire day. He will drive you to the wineries (some of which are well hidden from the main roads), take you inside and personally introduce you to the wine makers/owners, and will remain with you throughout the day to share their knowledge and answer questions. You will also have the opportunity to purchase wines at each winery, since many sell exclusively from their wineries/tasting rooms.
Wine Purchases
As with all of our tours, you are welcome to buy wine and/or join wine clubs. Our guide will be happy to discuss the options for getting your purchases home.
*Pick-ups
Door to door service! We will pick you up from your location (within our service areas). Pricing above is based on pick-ups in Sonoma County. Pick-ups in Marin County and the city of San Francisco are slightly higher.
Special Notes
Different from our other tours, there is no lunch stop, as many of the wineries will be providing food pairings with their tastings. We do encourage you to eat a full breakfast before taking this tour, to ensure that you can fully enjoy the wine tasting experience.
